We are currently looking for a Research Associate to join the Asian Financials team in our Hong Kong office.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have two to three years of experience in equity research or investment banking in the financials/insurance sector.  Candidates for Research Associate roles typically have quantitatively-oriented undergraduate degree (math, finance, engineering, etc.) with honors from top academic institutions.

 Our Associates typically have track records of outstanding professional performance, excellent analytical and financial skills (practical knowledge of financial statement analysis and modeling are important for these positions), relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level. We look for stellar intellectual and academic credentials, including honors and awards, and test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above. We want consummate team players who seek a highly rigorous and challenging environment for their career development. Participation in the CFA program is encouraged.

 Fluency (written and spoken) in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required. We are looking for candidates with a commitment to live and work long-term in Hong Kong.

Job Description

Research Associates contribute to the content and distribution of our acclaimed and highly differentiated research product at all levels:

 • conducting in-depth analysis of the industry and publicly-traded companies in the sector

• building and maintaining detailed financial models including forecasts

• drafting and writing research reports

• helping formulate investment opinions

• interacting with company managements, sales and trading, and our institutional client base

 These are typically 3-5 year positions with outstanding growth potential.
