This role will support the AIG Investments Board and Risk Committees in the identification, measurement, monitoring and mitigation of operational risks to include the risk of fraud to the firm.
Continuous evaluation of risk processes and procedures in line with current industry/regulatory guidelines
Management of Internal and External risk processes ensuring correct documentation is in order
Implementation and review of internal controls and creating procedures to improve efficiency and streamline automation of manual processes to minimise risks
Production and distribution of key risk indicators including risk dashboards
Participation in developing the current infrastructure and application interfaces in particular with AIG ERM
Supporting the ICAAP reporting process and capital adequacy requirements
Working with the business heads to convert current Risk charts to detailed Risk Registers
Handling all queries and ad hoc risk reporting requirements from AIG
Provide support to the AIG Investments Europe Board where appropriate
Maintenance of operation risk policies and procedures
Supporting the relevant Risk Committees (Senior Risk, New Business and Business Development Committees)
Development of the firm's fraud risk assessment capabilities
To have active involvement with the Global ERM team and to ensure alignment with policies and Group initiatives
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent
Relevant Financial Services Qualification
Experience:
Background in operational risk/ internal audit/compliance with an understanding of operation risk and a keen interest in fraud. Proven experience in working in an organisation with tight group reporting deadlines
Proven experience in the Financial Services Industry preferably in a multi site environment
Ability to produce meaningful KPI’s to support risk awareness and governance
