Review, design and execute the Procurement Management Strategy and Framework
The Environment
This Banking and Insurance business has continued to transform their operating infrastructure to provide a stronger platform for growth and to deliver continued efficiencies across the business. This is achieved through a clear growth strategy, strength in leadership and agility to make decisions. They have an uncompromising focus on their customers and the Australian community at large.
This is a full and exciting contract to work with the business and the executive team to lead the design and execution of a centralised Procurement Strategy. Whilst Procurement has previously existed within the business lines, this is a new role.
Your Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership to the business on Procurement management frameworks
Develop a flexible and leading Procurement strategy and implement the model across the business achieving stakeholder buy in and acceptance of the centralised process
Establish service provider relationships, securing a framework measuring savings and benefits
Establish the supplier performance framework and service level agreements to monitor and control the Procurement process
Develop strong relationships with the Executive team and Steering Committee of the business
Ensure communication is optimised both internally and externally to maximise acceptance and success for the business and the community
Your Experience
Deep experience successfully performing leadership roles within Procurement / Strategic Sourcing, ideally within the Insurance industry
Proven experience identifying solutions and processes that reduce the cost of claims and corporate spend
Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to work laterally across a business and deliver a commercial and practical solution tailored to the business and service providers requirements
Superior stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent project management and delivery skills
Ideally adept at operating in a high profile environment, sensitive to internal and external stakeholders
Tertiary qualifications with industry specific post graduate qualifications preferable
