 This market serves to facilitate the secondary trading of Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Residential Backed Securities (RMBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDO), Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) and Whole Loans (both Residential and Commercial).  

Internally, this individual would report to the Head of Structured Products and the position is a great growth opportunity for the right individual. The prospective candidate must have 5-7+ years of RMBS Sales-Trading experience and a transferable book of business combined with a solid trailing-12 revenue number. The successful candidate would be creative, able to multitask, problem-solve and take initiative. Good organizational and communication skills are critical.  

Externally, this individual would be expected to interact with clients such as hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, banks, global financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors. The Vice President would act as a representative of SecondMarket’s Structured Products Market to the relevant communities.

Requirements

Ø5-7+ years of experience in RMBS Sales-Trading

ØHighly-knowledgeable in the areas of structured products; understands processes involved in the investment into and management of such securities/structures

ØSeries 7 and 63 licenses

ØTeam player with exceptional and proven client skills

ØInterest in working in an entrepreneurial environment
