A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager to hold direct responsibility for the management of key Commercial and Broker products within RBS Insurance.
In this role you will play a key strategic and influential role in all aspects of managing RBS Business Insurance Services (RBS BIS). This will include product and proposition development, P&L responsibilities, the management of a panel of external brokers, and delivery of broker panel and product plans. Do you have the experience within the Commercial and Broker arena as well as the ability to drive the agenda to be successful in this role?
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct responsibility to manage the relationship and drive the performance of a panel of commercial insurance brokers, selling insurance to leads generated by RBS/Natwest bank across the full Business Banking / Commercial and Corporate customer base
• Direct responsibility for the management of a portfolio of assigned commercial products
For these products you will:
• Manage and implement strategic initiatives in line with the strategy of Commercial Direct as a whole
• Be accountable for the profit and loss
• Management of the proposition through all distribution channels
• Management of the retail price
Other Responsibilities:
• To contribute to the development and review of the RBS BIS Business plan
• To optimize growth and profitability of the assigned RBS BIS products
• To monitor the performance of the assigned products, manage prices in line with the agreed strategy and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• To work with central functions to develop an in depth knowledge of market and customer insight for the assigned products
• To continually review the customer satisfaction with the product offering and to develop product enhancements or profit improving changes for the assigned products and broker panel offering
• Successful delivery of key strategic projects
• Enhance the proposition appeal to the target market, or generate profit improvements.
• Establish strong & effective relationships with all functions particularly Marketing, Underwriting, Operations and Customer Insight.
• To proactively input into the wider Commercial Own Brands business activities.
• To focus on costs, process improvements and/or efficiency to contribute to the profitability of the business.
• Line Management of one direct report
Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience
• Educated to degree level, or relevant professional qualification.
• Underwriting & Retail Pricing experience
• Exposure to Product Development
• Experience of Commercial Insurance market
• Understanding of Insurance P&L issues
