We are currently looking for a Senior Portfolio Sales Trader in our New York office. In this role, you will be responsible for the external sales of Macquarie's US Domestic Program Trading and Execution business. You will prospect and liaise with current Macquarie staff to market US Portfolio Trading to existing clients, as well as bring new clients to the platform. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the sales process from the initial client meeting through to client setup and initial trade. In addition, you will work closely with our quantitative research group to help market and monetise the quantitative research effort through execution; as well as be heavily involved in the ongoing development of the business.
To be successful, you will have:
Program Sales experience at a senior level, ideally with exposure or prior experience in both US and international equities
strong institutional client relationships and a willingness to develop new ones
proven project management skills and a commitment to building a successful business
a detailed knowledge of risk management, technical and operational procedures in an Portfolio Trading environment
excellent academic qualifications, ideally in a quantitative discipline
